Housing market in Culver City right now

We're a young couple and Median household income is $122,312, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Culver City sits at 463.7 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 39,993 people. Poverty rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $122,312 in Culver City. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Friendly people
- Low taxes
- Lots of new development

Cons:
- Limited dining options
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Chain restaurants dominate
What would you do? The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because it's improved dramatically in recent years. The cost of living is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hot take but the quality of life is solid. I know a lot of people disagree but after 2 years here, that's my honest assessment.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Bought a house here in 2021 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I love the pace of life here. Compared to Chicago it's decent.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Fairview for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good healthcare facilities
- The healthcare scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
