Hello, Crime rate is something to consider -Cumberland sits at 186.6 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. It's a a small town city with about 6,154 people. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Anyone in a similar situation? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a data analyst who relocated here from LA about 6 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are established, gas is average.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth checking out..

I work in legal here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is tough. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
