Working in Cumberland -salaries realistic?

Hey folks, I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $84,167 in Cumberland. Homes are going for about $241,200 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What neighborhoods would you suggest? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Oak Park. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in education. If you're in construction you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

No regrets on my end..
