Day-to-day life in Cupertino, CA

The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here?

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The walkability is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Nashville and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Maple Ridge. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 14 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
