Hey everyone, I'm retired and Median household income is $231,139, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $2,000,001 on average. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $3,501 for rent here. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Any advice would be great. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value food scene, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely tough and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Fairview) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
