Hi all, I'm a teacher here and Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Poverty rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $2,000,001, which is pretty steep. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The weather takes some getting used to. Am I wrong here? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- The pet-friendliness scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Summers can be brutally hot
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want housing market, then yeah this place is great. But if healthcare matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
