Biggest downsides of living in Cutler Bay?

I'm a teacher here and The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 44,483 people. Poverty rate is 8.2%, which is pretty low. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Does this match your experience? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cost of living used to be much stable but now it's pretty good.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is community vibe. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 1 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor recreation is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The food scene scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Not a lot of cultural diversity

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..
