So, I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I've lived in Highland for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- The dating scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Atlanta it's average.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally pretty good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
