Worst things about Cuyahoga Falls nobody talks about
Longtime lurker here, We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 7.1%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Is this normal for Cuyahoga Falls? Any help is appreciated. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in Highland for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- The school system scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Springfield for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The walkability scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..

Background: I'm a physical therapist, 29, moved here 3 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in Oak Park and Pine Hills, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally underrated - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Not very walkable outside downtown
2. Chain restaurants dominate
3. The weather situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Oak Park: Great for singles. tough vibes, walkable.
- Pine Hills: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt surprisingly good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is stable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$90K here.
**Final verdict:**

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Fairview. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is wild right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally excellent. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like seafood.
