Just moved to Cypress Landing, any tips?

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a 38-year-old writer and Crime rate is something to consider -Cypress Landing sits at 763.3 per 100K. Median household income is $80,325, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $418,600 on average. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What would you do? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Atlanta about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited shopping options

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are affordable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Feel free to reach out with questions..

I work in manufacturing here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is decent. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
