Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Salt Lake City it's surprisingly good.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much pricey but now it's average.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Meadowbrook. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want weather, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is average in most areas.
