Rent in Dahlonega getting crazy

Not sure if this has been asked before, but My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider -Dahlonega sits at 347.5 per 100K. Homes are going for about $409,100 on average. Rent is about $1,290/month for a decent place. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Worth the trade-offs? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Weather-wise, the summers are better than expected and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is school system. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cost of living is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
