First post here. I work in finance and With a population of 72,793, Dale City is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $400,100 on average. Rent is about $1,868/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The market right now is hit or miss. We bought in 2020 at k and it's now worth about the same than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.
**Employment:**
education is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.
**Quality of Life:**

Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is surprisingly good.
