Anyone regret moving to Dallas?

Hey folks, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Rent is about $1,184/month for a decent place. With a population of 17,214, Dallas is a small town. Homes are going for about $355,700 on average. It's a a small town city with about 17,214 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I work in education here and I genuinely enjoy living here. The job market for my field is excellent. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
