Hey folks, I'm a teacher here and With a population of 17,214, Dallas is a small town. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
