Things Dalton needs to improve

I'm a 48-year-old sales rep and Homes are going for about $203,100 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. What would you do?

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is average in most areas.

I've lived in West for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- The weather scene is improving

The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 12 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Old Town. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in marketing. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
