Working in Dalton -salaries realistic?

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a 43-year-old graphic designer and Household incomes average around $61,236 in Dalton. Poverty rate is 13.7%, which is around average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Worth the trade-offs? The weather takes some getting used to.

I've lived in West for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- The nightlife scene is decent

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Moved here from Salt Lake City about 1 years ago. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Still getting used to community vibe but Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 9 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is improving.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Houston it's improving.
