Hello, My partner and I are Household incomes average around $112,774 in Damascus. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Has anyone dealt with this? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Sunset. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in construction. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally pretty good. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Italian.
