The good and bad of living in Dana Point

I relocated for work and Poverty rate is 6.0%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $127,246 in Dana Point. The median home value here is around $1,200,900, which is pretty steep. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much stable but now it's decent.

I've lived in West for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good airport with direct flights
- The job market scene is average

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
