Danbury housing prices -when will it stop?

Been meaning to ask this. Born and raised here. It's a a smaller city city with about 86,086 people. Median household income is $83,422, which feels pretty solid for the area. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Any advice would be great. TIA! I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Minneapolis about 3 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Homeless population growing downtown
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The community vibe is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
