Healthcare options in Danbury?

Been living here since 2021. It's a a smaller city city with about 86,086 people. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Median household income is $83,422, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $381,600 on average. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Thoughts? The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a pharmacist, 43, moved here 8 years ago from Charlotte. I've lived in Eastside and South, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Urban sprawl is real
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The healthcare situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for families. improving vibes, walkable.
- South: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Charlotte, everything felt excellent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $60K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I love the pace of life here. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 1 years ago. The main reasons were weather and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is improving.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Definitely worth checking out..
