How are the schools in Danbury?

Hey everyone, Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 4.4%, which is about average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. What are your go-to spots? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

My experience has been mostly positive. I love the pace of life here. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've been living here for 11 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The cultural scene is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Decent public transit for the size
- The cultural scene scene is excellent

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a sales manager, 28, moved here 13 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in Highland and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Limited entertainment options
3. The pet-friendliness situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Highland: Great for retirees. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $40K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Good luck with whatever you decide.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Old Town. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in government. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Definitely worth checking out..

I've lived in Oak Park for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The healthcare scene is average

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Can feel isolated

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Definitely worth checking out..
