Rent prices in Danbury getting crazy

Anyone else noticing rent going up fast in Danbury? Over the last year, I feel like prices went up at least 10-15%. I'm paying $1804 for a 2BR/2BA which feels like a lot.

Are there any neighborhoods that are still affordable? Thinking about moving to a cheaper area.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Southside. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

I'd add that the parks here are amazing for families. Otherwise spot on!

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

Respectfully disagree about the job market. In my experience, there are good opportunities if you network.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Been here 20 years. The city has changed a lot but overall for the better.

Don't sleep on Maple Heights. It's up and coming and still affordable.

I'd add that healthcare options are better than most cities this size. Otherwise spot on!

If you can afford it, Midtown is the best place to live. Period.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

I work in finance and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 3 months.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Pine Grove. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.
