Dania Beach quality of life -am I missing something?

Longtime lurker here, We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $296,100, which seems about average. The unemployment rate is 5.4%, which is about average. Median household income is $50,948, which feels on the lower side for the area. Poverty rate is 14.6%, which is around average. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,739 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development.

Pros:
- Good job market
- Low crime in most areas
- Low taxes

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Lack of diversity
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Far from major airports
- Chain restaurants dominate
It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 7 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is surprisingly good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
