Freelancing from Danville -experience?

Anyone else feel this way? My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $1,583,300, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -Danville sits at 51.1 per 100K. You can expect to pay around $3,501 for rent here. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are underrated, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Mexican places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Hot take but I genuinely enjoy living here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 5 years here, that's my honest assessment.
