Danville in the winter -how bad?

Longtime lurker here, I relocated for work and Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 4.6%, which is about average. The median home value here is around $76,800, which is actually reasonable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Let me know your thoughts. The food scene here is surprisingly good. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
