Best areas to explore in Danville?

We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Danville sits at 154.1 per 100K. Homes are going for about $202,200 on average. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development. Anyone in a similar situation? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Internet is challenging in most areas.

I've lived in Highland for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The housing market scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
