Best and worst neighborhoods in Daphne

Hey folks, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 28,673, Daphne is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 66--F, so the weather is moderate. The suburbs are where most families end up. Looking forward to hearing from you all. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it exceeded my expectations. Internet is improving in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Houston about 6 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are pricey, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Good luck with whatever you decide..
