First post here. My partner and I are With a population of 28,673, Daphne is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,337/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Daphne sits at 170.1 per 100K. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What would you do? Cheers. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The food scene is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are growing. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 1 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is challenging.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Midtown side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Would recommend to anyone considering it..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
