Best industries in Dardenne Prairie right now

I relocated for work and Household incomes average around $155,585 in Dardenne Prairie. Median household income is $155,585, which feels pretty solid for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Appreciate any input. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

We moved here with our family and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Schools in Cedar Grove area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Cedar Grove for 15 years. Moved from Baltimore for school. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 3-bed in a safe area. The market is competitive but not impossible.

**Employment:**
manufacturing is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are established for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is better than expected - we have ski resorts within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Cedar Grove schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Can feel isolated. And healthcare can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 5/10. Hope this helps!. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 31, moved here 14 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in North and Oak Park, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Strong job market in several industries
3. Lots of new development happening
4. The people are generally tough - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The community vibe situation is affordable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- North: Great for singles. excellent vibes, walkable.
- Oak Park: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt challenging. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are stable. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $50K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from San Diego about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are pricey, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Hope this helps!.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone about the same since then.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..
