Just moved to Darlington, any tips?

OK so I work in energy and Household incomes average around $31,240 in Darlington. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. Poverty rate is 25.4%, which is higher than I expected. Average temperature is around 63--F, so the weather is moderate. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I wrong here? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's not perfect but it works for me. No regrets on my end..

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are better than expected, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I have mixed feelings honestly.
