Been meaning to ask this. We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 10.3%, which is around average. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Any advice would be great. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Lots of new development happening
- The housing market scene is tough
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Came here for school and stayed because the quality of life is solid. The school system is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.
I've been here 14 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Highland side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The walkability is genuinely pretty good and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (South) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Houston, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Not a lot of cultural diversity.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is tough in most areas.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if public transit matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
