Anyone else love living in Davidson?

OK so The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Pine Hills. It's excellent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in engineering. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Asian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in East. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is reasonable right now, especially in consulting. If you're in retail you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Bought a house here in 2016 and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Property values have gone about the same since then.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in East area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..
