Is it worth buying in Davie?

We have two kids and Crime rate is something to consider -Davie sits at 254.4 per 100K. Median household income is $87,171, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 106K people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Pros:
- Great weather
- Good job market
- Diverse community
- Strong sense of community
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Sprawl everywhere
- High property taxes
- Not enough green space
Let me know your thoughts. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good internet infrastructure
- The cost of living scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Good luck with whatever you decide..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Internet is decent in most areas.
