What to expect moving to Davis?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and The median home value here is around $829,000, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $87,421, which feels pretty solid for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Davis sits at 153.4 per 100K. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.
