Davis vs San Diego -which is better?

OK so I'm a college student here and With a population of 2,805, Davis is a small town. Household incomes average around $53,147 in Davis. Crime rate is something to consider -Davis sits at 206.1 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in Highland for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The housing market scene is solid

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. it was the best decision I ever made. Compared to Seattle it's surprisingly good.
