We have two kids and Median household income is $31,607, which feels on the lower side for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks for reading. The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a social worker who relocated here from San Francisco about 8 years ago. The main reasons were work and family.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- Close to major attractions
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Rising rent and home prices
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are wild, gas is solid.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is healthcare. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.
