Moving to Dayton -what should I know?

OK so I'm a college student here and It's a a small town city with about 8,381 people. The unemployment rate is 0.5%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $137,383 in Dayton. The median home value here is around $510,600, which is pretty steep. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Worth the trade-offs? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Miami and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Springfield. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in legal. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
