Hi all, Born and raised here. Crime rate is something to consider -Dayton sits at 326.6 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
