Best coffee shops in Dayton?

I'm a teacher here and Crime rate is something to consider — Dayton sits at 962.1 per 100K. With a population of 137K, Dayton is a mid-size city. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think?

We moved here with our family and the quality of life is solid. Schools in Sunset area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value pet-friendliness, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely challenging and I've found I love the pace of life here. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Midtown area are average. Kids love it here.
