It's a a small town city with about 7,191 people. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Should I be concerned? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.

I've lived in East for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Close to major attractions
- The pet-friendliness scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it was the best decision I ever made. The safety is underrated compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Denver, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Four distinct seasons
- The cost of living scene is average
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Dating scene is rough
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for singles. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a physical therapist, 28, moved here 10 years ago from Miami. I've lived in South and Downtown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Lots of new development happening
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The public transit situation is developing and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- South: Great for couples. challenging vibes, walkable.
- Downtown: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Miami, everything felt surprisingly good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are wild. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $80K-$80K here.
**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
