Hi all, Just moved here 9 months ago and The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $1,239/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Daytona Beach sits at 1,137.0 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 75,924 people. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Let me know your thoughts. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
