Should I move to De Queen or stay in Boston?

I've been here for 16 years and The median home value here is around $108,500, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. Median household income is $50,979, which feels on the lower side for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. Anyone in a similar situation? Thanks! The city has invested a lot in new development. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value dating scene, you'll love it. The community vibe is genuinely challenging and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Sunset) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Minneapolis, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. dating scene used to be much manageable but now it's tough.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 14 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is public transit. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into camping, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Sunset side vs the Lakewood side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
