Dearborn Heights is underrated, change my mind

Anyone else feel this way? Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. You can expect to pay around $1,260 for rent here. The unemployment rate is 4.3%, which is about average. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Diverse community
- Low taxes
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Rising rent prices
- High property taxes
- Lack of diversity
- Poor road conditions
- Not enough green space
Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. As someone who grew up here, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. A lot has changed in the past few years though. safety used to be much developing but now it's hit or miss.
