Thinking about relocating to Dearborn Heights from Baltimore

Hey everyone, I'm single, late 30s, and The median home value here is around $174,900, which is actually reasonable. Poverty rate is 16.4%, which is higher than I expected. The unemployment rate is 4.3%, which is about average. It's a a smaller city city with about 62,099 people. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Let me know your thoughts. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Hope this helps!.

I've lived in Uptown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- The weather scene is decent

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..
