Moving to Dearborn for work -advice?

First post here. Median household income is $65,192, which feels about average for the area. Homes are going for about $205,900 on average. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. Crime rate is something to consider -Dearborn sits at 324.8 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Is this normal for Dearborn? Any help is appreciated. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I'm a accountant and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is excellent and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Westside for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- The food scene scene is challenging

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited shopping options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
