Quick question about Decatur

Hey folks, With a population of 70,368, Decatur is a smaller city. You can expect to pay around $796 for rent here. Homes are going for about $97,300 on average. Average temperature is around 53--F, so expect cold winters. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Appreciate any input. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are solid, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

The food scene here is underrated. Tons of great Mexican places. I have mixed feelings honestly.
