Hey folks, Crime rate is something to consider -Decatur sits at 530.3 per 100K. Poverty rate is 13.3%, which is around average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Is this normal for Decatur? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development.
