Cost of living reality check -Decatur

I've been here for 1 years and Average temperature is around 65--F, so the weather is moderate. It's a a small town city with about 7,087 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Cheers.

Planning a move to Decatur -neighborhoods?

First post here. I've been here for 13 years and Crime rate is something to consider -Decatur sits at 112.4 per 100K. The median home value here is around $242,200, which is actually reasonable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Am I wrong here?
