Curious what people think. I relocated for work and With a population of 7,597, Decorah is a small town. Median household income is $62,177, which feels about average for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What do you all think? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
